Amtrak provides intercity rail service throughout the United States with a focus on safety and customer service. To provide these services, Amtrak has retained Pennoni through an open-end contract along the Northeast corridor. Work conducted has included track relocation services, right-of-way determinations, property surveys and cross-sections as directed by the Amtrak Engineer. The majority of work has been completed in New Jersey and New York, but additional work has been done in the District of Columbia. Pennoni’s field parties require the Amtrak Safety course, as well as a site-specific briefing before commencing any work on the roadbed.
